Zeidler Group Supports Launch of Open-Source Fund Prospectus Template to Improve Efficiency and Usability

13th February 2026

Luxembourg, 13 February, 2026 Zeidler Group is pleased to have continued its support of Global Asset Management (GAMS), a pan-Atlantic industry working group (not-for-profit, open-source platform designed to benefit the global asset and wealth management industry. GAMS has collaborated with More Carrot to develop a new, open-source fund prospectus template designed to be cheaper to produce, faster to update, and more usable for investors and intermediaries.

The working group brought together senior professionals from Schroders, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH), Zeidler Group, and other industry participants, who worked on a voluntary, pro bono basis throughout 2025 to enhance and refine the template. The resulting prospectus is now being made freely available to the wider industry via GAMStandards.com.

Since the introduction of SICAV fund prospectuses in the 1980s, these documents have grown steadily in length and complexity, driven largely by incremental additions for risk mitigation. While regulatory compliance remains essential, usability for investors has often suffered as a result. The new template aims to reverse this trend by introducing a modular structure that preserves regulatory robustness while significantly improving clarity and accessibility.

Demonstrated Benefits: Cheaper, Faster, Better

More Carrot conducted a survey of its 16 largest clients, representing more than 1,000 funds and over USD 1 trillion in assets under management, to assess the impact of the prospectus structure. The results showed:

  • Cost efficiencies reported by 9 out of 16 respondents
  • Reduced CSSF review times for 8 out of 16
  • Faster prospectus updates for 11 out of 16
  • Positive feedback from intermediaries and users for 13 out of 16
  • Greater consistency across compliance and marketing teams for 13 out of 16

In addition, the modular approach has demonstrated the potential to reduce prospectus length by 50 – 70% without loss of content. A comparative example shows a UCITS prospectus reduced from 183 pages to 56 pages while maintaining all required disclosures.

Plain Language and Reusability

The template is designed using clear, plain language that can be reused across related documents such as marketing materials and Key Information Documents (KIDs), helping firms reduce duplication and ensure consistency across departments.

“Prospectuses have often been produced primarily to obtain regulatory approval, rather than to serve the investor,” said Josiah Fisk, Founder of More Carrot. “This work shows that it is possible to meet regulatory requirements while creating documents that are clearer, shorter and more efficient to maintain.”

Scott Parkin, Head of US at Zeidler Group, added:

“If you look at the evolution of UCITS since 1985, you see a document that has continually expanded through successive layers of risk mitigation. The result has been prospectuses that are difficult to navigate for all users. The key innovation in this template is its modular structure, which continues to support risk mitigation while allowing information to be presented in a more digestible and practical way.”

Scope and Availability

The template has been designed primarily for Luxembourg SICAVs, but can be adapted for FCPs and non-UCITS vehicles, including SIFs. Subject to demand and the involvement of local experts, additional jurisdiction-specific versions may be developed in the future.

The prospectus template is available to download free of charge at GAMStandards.com.
