14th January 2025
As the New Year unfolds, it brings with it important regulatory updates and fee adjustments for cross-border fund registrations. At Zeidler Group, our team of legal professionals continuously updates our proprietary Global Knowledge Hub (GKH) to ensure our clients stay ahead of these developments. Here’s a detailed overview of the key fee changes for 2025 across multiple jurisdictions.
Croatia – Updated Fees for UCITS Marketing
From 2025, fees for marketing EEA UCITS in Croatia will be revised as follows:
- Periodic fee: EUR 1,500.
- Additional sub-funds: EUR 390 for the second and each subsequent sub-fund.
Czechia – Zero Fees for Foreign Funds
In a favourable development, the Czech regulator will no longer charge notification or periodic fees for foreign UCITS and EEA AIFs marketed in Czechia from 2025. This decision significantly reduces the financial and administrative burdens for fund managers looking to operate in the Czech market.
Finland – Revised UCITS and AIF Fees
Finland has introduced significant adjustments to its fee structure for 2025:
UCITS Marketing:
No registration fees will be charged by the Finnish regulator for marketing UCITS in Finland from January 2025.
AIF Marketing:
- Annual fees for AIFs under Article 32 AIFMD were increased to EUR 1,320 per AIF.
- Annual fees for third-country AIFs under Article 42 AIFMD have been raised to EUR 3,050 per AIF.

For firms utilising Guernsey’s private placement regime, the following updated fees will apply from 2025 to Exempt Non-Guernsey Schemes. The Form EX Notification application fee is now GBP 1,470.
Jersey – Private Placement Fee Adjustments
Effective 2025, the fee for submitting an application to the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) for consent to circulate a prospectus in Jersey will be GBP 686.
Malta – AIF Marketing Fees
Malta has revised its annual fees for AIFs under Article 32 AIFMD for 2025 to an annual fee of EUR 4,000 per AIF. Additional fees apply in the amount of EUR 500 per sub-fund (up to the 15th sub-fund).
Sweden – Revised Fees for AIF Marketing
Sweden has implemented updated application fees for AIFs under Articles 36 and 42 AIFMD:
- Article 36 AIFMD: SEK 25,500.
